Spring seems to be emerging as slowly as I am after winter, in my part of the UK.

However, there are still some key Spring signs that never fail to delight.

I’ve been spotting the cherry blossom, the beautiful sunsets & sunrises, and of course, the variety of bulbs pushing their way up into the fresh air.

Despite it’s slow start I still feel rejuvenated at this time of year, and I thrive in the garden, trimming things back to their fresh shoots & cutting fresh blooms to bring inside to the house.

I am still waiting for those slightly warmer days, where we can crack open those windows to air out the house, but I know they won’t be far away.

Other things that I enjoy looking out for, is the bird life. I’m very lucky to have a few species of garden birds in my garden, and I thoroughly enjoy watching them squabble over feed, and gather materials for their nests. It won’t be long until their little babies start scampering around, and pestering their parents to be fed.

I like to use this time of year to freshen up the house, too. Slowly start packing the blankets away (but not all of them!), switch up the fragrances of the candles, and generally do the typical spring-clean.

What do you look out for in Spring? I’d love to hear in the comments!

Thank you so much for reading and I will be back soon.
